 |
Cala d'Or is on the south east coast of Mallorca in the district of Sanatanyi. The resort is a collection of small bays and coves with a fairly new and modern marina at Cala Llonga. |
The main pedestrian area around Cala Gran is where you will find the majority of bars, restaurants and shops, although these are to be found around each individual cove.
Building in Cala d'Or has been restricted and there are very few high rise buildings. All buildings have been designed to give the feel of a village, one of the main assets of the resort, with many residential properties nestling between the hotels and tourist areas.
Entertainment is mainly to be found in the hotels, although in the area around Cala Gran there are a variety of live music bars and lively pubs. The resort is suitable for those who don't want the noise and bustle of livelier resorts such as Magalluf.
