Situated on the south west coast of Mallorca this busy resort is set around a beautiful bay and has 3 beaches to tempt you, Playa La Romana, Playa Palmira, and Playa Tora.
This small but busy resort is popular with all nationalities, especially the German tourists, but the number of bars and restaurants aiming at British clientel is on the increase as more tourists from the UK
discover the area. It is close to the Port d'Andratx which is a popular area for visting film stars and celebrities. |
The beaches are well maintained, providing basic amenities such as sunbed hire and parasols as well as water sport facilities and trips on the "Glass Bottom Boat".
You can gain access to each of the beaches from the fairly new promenade which stretches the length of the bay.
Originally a small fishing resort, Paguera is now a bustling resort and the night life reflects this. There are numerous bars and clubs and although it may not be as
noisy as other resorts, it is not the place to go if you are looking for a quiet holiday.

Accommodation in Paguera, Mallorca

Hotels in Paguera are mainly 3 and 4 star hotels. As mentioned before, the area caters extremely well for German tourists although the number of British in the area is increasing and there are a number of bars and restaurants in the area.
Private accommodation is available to let, both long and short term, and this can be arranged through various estate agents in Mallorca. Private accommodation usually comprises of villas and apartements.

How to get Paguera in Mallorca
|
If you are arranging your own transport to the resort it can be arranged for a hire car to be picked up from the airport. Follow the signs for Palma then Andratx until you pass Santa Ponsa and you will see Paguera sign posted from there. The journey should take about 30-45 mins depending on traffic.
Taxis are also available from the airport. Prices sre fixed but can vary depending upon the time of day and amount of luggage. If you require a baby seat or other specialist equipment is is better to book in advance.
Coach transfer with your tour operator will usually take longer as the coach will often detour to other resorts before it reaches your drop off point. |

Shopping in Paguerra, Mallorca

The area is very popular for shopping, the street parallel to the beach, "El Bulevar", has various souvenir shops, supermarkets, jewellery and leather goods as well as several designer shops.
Several side streets running off the main boulevard provide additional bargains. |

Cala Fornells near Paguera

Cala Fornells is a small resort near to Paguera.
It is has two small beaches in secluded rocky bays. The area is mainly residential and facilities are limited but this is an ideal spot for those who want something off the beaten track.
There are few hotels, mainly 4 and 5 star. The village itself is extremely picturesque.

Although there is not much available in the resort Cala Fornells is close to both Paguera and Andratx and all they have to offer, with several golf courses in the area. |
