Porto Cristo on the east coast of Mallorca
|
 |
Porto Cristo is situated on the east coast of Mallorca, in the municipality of Manacor.
The main focal point of Porto Cristo is the large harbour. Although a tourist area the town
is very Mallorcan in atmosphere and there are many local trades here and in the nearby
Manacor.
|
The atmosphere is relaxed and attracts middle aged people who enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
The town of Cala Millor is not far away
for a lively night out.
There are numerous cafes, restaurants, bars and shops in the area, suiting those who prefer to go self-catering.
Accommodation in town is limited, the majority of hotels being in nearby Porto Cristo nou.
Here you find the beaches Cala Mandia and Cala Anguila, with Cala Mandia and Cala Estany nearby.

How to Get to Porto Cristo in the East of Mallorca
|
 |
If you are arranging your own transport then there are many car hire companies on the island which arrange for your car to be collected at the airport.

The route is fairly simple. When you leave the airport go west on the Motorway (Ma-19) and take the Manacor turn off. Follow this road into Manacor and from there Porto Cristo is clearly sign-posted.
For coach transfers with your holiday company the journey can take up to 1.5 hours, depending upon the other drop off points for other passengers. |
