Palma is the capital city of Mallorca, and has many tourist attractions, including the magnificent Cathedral, as well as several churches and museums.
Throughout the island there are many excellent Art Galleries, featuring works by such famous artists such as Joan Miro and Picasso.

There are daily excursions to places such as the Caves of Drach, the Carthusian Monastery at Valldemosa and the Autosafari, a zoo near to Porto Cristo.
Several water "Theme Parks" exist throughout the island including Aqualand in both Magaluf and El Arenal, Western Water Park in Magaluf and the dolphin show at Marineland should not be missed. |
Other alternatives include a drive-in safari park, historic gardens, a nature reserve S'albufera
and tropical park Jumaica.
The gamblers among you may like to try their luck at the Casino, situated near Magalluf, but do remember your passport as you`ll need that to gain entry.
New in 2007 were the "Palma Aquarium" in Playa de Palma and the "House of Katmandu" in Magaluf.
For those wanting to know more about the historical aspects of Mallorca then the Cathedral in Palma is a good place to start, with it's surrounding streets hiding a multitude of churches and museums. |

More attractions can be found in a superb selection of watersports, submarine trips, underground caves, or explore the magnificent mountain ranges, the main one being the Serra de Traumunta.
Hire a car and explore the mountainside villages of Deia and Valldemosa, or book an organised excursion.

For evening entertainment most travel agencies provide excursions to the fabulous shows at Son Amar and Es Foguero.

Many excursions are available and booking can be done directly, via your hotel rep, or through one of the many travel agencies throughout the island.
These excursions vary from trips on a glass bottom boat to a journey on the antique train from Palma to the attractive town of Soller then by tram car to the Port of Soller. |
